The Tuatahi Team Challenge wrapped up on Saturday 12 September, bringing six weeks of training together for a big day of racing at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome.

Formerly known as the Corporate Challenge, 2026 saw the return of the Community Cup, opening the event up to workplace teams as well as clubs, community groups, sports teams and groups of mates.

Over six weeks, teams trained together on the track, building their skills, confidence and speed before putting it all into practice on race day. For many riders, it was their first experience of track cycling.

Teams went head-to-head in the Italian Pursuit, with plenty of close racing, team spirit and friendly competition throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 event happen. To our riders for giving it everything, our coaching team for getting everyone race ready, our volunteers and timing team, and all the families, friends and workmates who filled the stands and got behind the teams.

We’d also like to thank Tuatahi First Fibre and all of our event sponsors and supporters for helping make the Team Challenge possible.
