Perry Playground
A fun place for kids to explore while visiting the Velodrome.
The Perry Playground at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome has been a favourite with visiting families since it opened in January 2017. Sitting right beside the Gallagher Bike Skills Park and the Te Awa River Ride, it’s another great free activity to enjoy while you’re here.
The playground is designed to keep younger visitors moving and exploring, with plenty of features to climb, swing, balance and play on. Kids can tackle the climbing wall, race down the tube slide, swing across the flying fox, or test their balance on the stepping logs and wobbly log bridge.
Play equipment includes:
Swings
Climbing wall
Tube slide
Monkey bars
Flying fox
Lullaby swing basket
Wobbly log bridge
Stepping logs
Log rocking seesaw
Play tunnels
Spinner
There are also picnic tables and park benches nearby, making it an easy spot for families to relax while the kids play.
The Perry Playground is a public facility and completely free to enjoy, open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
