Plus Finance + Investments Battle of the Schools is a high energy track cycling series that brings secondary and higher primary school students together at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome for fast racing, team spirit, and plenty of noise from the sidelines. Riders race for their school across a range of events and categories, earning points and building momentum as the competition unfolds.

Designed for both new and experienced riders in school years 5-13, Battle of the Schools is about getting students on the track, having a go, and representing their school in a supportive but competitive environment.

In the lead up to race day, riders train for 6-weeks with qualified coaches to help along the way. No previous experience is necessary, and all riding equipment is supplied.  On race day, we all come together for an exciting event, with face painting, food trucks, a kid's room and more.

The 6-week program will commence on Sunday 10th May 2026
