NZ Grand Prix & NZ International

UCI Class 2 Event
December 7-8th

New Zealand Grand Prix & New Zealand International, UCI Class 2 Events, 7-8 December 2025, Cambridge, New Zealand

The Grassroots Trust Velodrome is hosting the NZ Grand Prix and NZ International, two UCI Class 2 events on consecutive days.

We’re promising a thrilling showcase of speed, strategy, and stamina as emerging talents and seasoned professionals go head-to-head against riders from around the world. This event caters for all levels, from up-and-coming riders through to world-class national and international competitors, including Commonwealth and Olympic cyclists, and para-cyclists.

With two single-day UCI C2 races, there are more UCI points on offer and the chance to race against a larger, more competitive field of national and international athletes.

The Grassroots Trust Velodrome, home to Cycling New Zealand and their outstanding 2024 Olympic team, provides the perfect backdrop. As a UCI WCC Continental Satellite Centre, it stands at the heart of New Zealand cycling, bringing all parts of the cycling community together.

Cambridge, situated in the rural Waikato at the centre of New Zealand’s North Island, is proudly known as the ‘Home of Champions’ – with a rich legacy in high-performance sport across horse racing, rowing, kayaking, and, of course, cycling. Cambridge is also New Zealand’s Cycling Central, offering the best of both track racing and outstanding road trails, including the iconic Te Awa Cycleway.

For the Riders
If gaining UCI points is your focus, or if you’re ready to test yourself against the very best, the NZ Grand Prix and the NZ International has it all.

Stick around and race the NZ Omnium and Madison Championships a day later. Overseas riders are eligible under CNZ rules.

Join us in Cambridge for two days of racing, performance, and inspiration, where the next generation meets the world’s best.
