The Whoosh Masters Track Carnival at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome is a competitive track cycling event for riders aged 30 and over. More than 60 riders from around New Zealand and across the Tasman take part each year, contesting a series of sprint, endurance and team events that showcase the depth of experience and enthusiasm in masters cycling.

The carnival draws riders from a wide range of age groups, from those newly exploring masters racing to seasoned competitors, and has become a highlight on the New Zealand track calendar. It also makes for a strong lead up event for riders preparing for the Masters World Championships.

Off the track there is time to connect with fellow riders and supporters, and the velodrome atmosphere reflects both the competitive spirit and the community that defines masters cycling.

There are three main cups to choose from which will determine your races across the weekend. This year, you will have the option to sign up for add-on races, but these don’t contribute to your chosen cup points.
