The Grassroots Trust Velodrome offers a range of versatile function spaces designed for everything from meetings and workshops to large-scale celebrations and corporate events. Set within a world-class cycling facility, each space combines modern amenities with the option of striking views over the velodrome track.
Whether you are planning a small boardroom meeting or a major event in the infield, our spaces can be configured to suit your needs. Our rooms have flexible layouts, built-in technology and a range of capacities.

The Velo Lounges
Two adjacent lounges can be hired individually, or combined to create a larger space, ideal for bigger groups.
Our air-conditioned lounges provide an impressive space for team building sessions, seminars and meetings.
These functional spaces have built in projectors and screens and a quality sound system. There is also an LCD TV for use and access to wireless internet. Velo 1 also has a small adjoining kitchen for serving refreshments.
The APL Room
The APL Room is a private, comfortable, well equipped meeting space designed for focused discussions and productive team sessions. Set up boardroom style, it seats up to 14 people and provides a practical environment for collaborative meetings, presentations, and brainstorming.
The room is fully air conditioned and filled with natural light, creating a pleasant space to work and connect. It includes an LCD TV with HDMI connectivity for easy presentations, along with Wi-Fi access to keep your team connected. Ideal for small meetings, planning sessions, or client presentations, the APL Room offers a professional and convenient space within the Velodrome.

Bookings confirmed upon signed Function Room Booking Agreement and deposit received.
After-hours surcharge $100 per hour - price may vary if alcohol is being served.

Catering Options
We have a range of catering options to suit your event. From our on-site Bikery Cafe to meals and beverages that can be delivered straight to your function room, we can work with you to make it all run smoothly. The Infield
A versatile venue that brings sport, events and community together.
The infield of the velodrome is a standout venue for large-scale functions and events. Set at the heart of the track and surrounded by spectator seating, it offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop that immediately sets events apart.
Highly flexible in layout, the space can be styled to suit awards evenings, dinners, weddings, parties, celebrations and sporting events. Food trucks can be brought directly into the infield, and the area works well for expos, school holiday programmes and unique installations.
From University and corporate award dinners to the NZ CrossFit Championships, boxing and cycling events, music events, expos, weddings and community programmes, the infield has a strong track record of hosting memorable experiences of all kinds.
