Are you open to the public?
Yes! The Grassroots Trust Velodrome is open to the public during the following hours:
Monday - Friday 6am - 9pm
Saturday - 7.30am - 4pm
Sunday - 8.30am - 4pm
You are welcome to walk around the top of the Velodrome for free, or if you wish to see behind the scenes where our Olympians train, then please email reception@velodrome.nz or phone
07 823 1421 to organise a tour.
What is the Gymmaster App?
The Gymmaster app is how you can make bookings, and view our track and gym schedule. It is available on the App Store and Google Play.
How do I give track cycling a go?
If you wish to Have-a-Go, please click here to be redirected to our Have-a-Go page to see upcoming sessions, and the health and safety waiver.
If none of the upcoming sessions suit your schedule, or you wish to bring a group along, please email reception@velodrome.nz or call 07 823 1421 to book a private session.
If you loved your Have-a-Go session, then please enquire about our accreditation, so you can come ride the track during any of our public sessions.
Is the gym available to the public?
The gym is available to all members of the public. We offer a range of classes catering to all ages and abilities. There are casual rates and membership options available.
Please note you must be 14+yrs to use the gym, however, U14yrs can partake in Eastside Boxing's Little Boxers and Fundamentals class.
Do you have facilities for functions?
We have three function rooms available, Velo 1, Velo 2 and the APL room. The two Velo rooms are able to combine to create one large space, and the APL is best for small boardroom style meetings. Velo 1 has kitchenette facilities.

Can I give trikes a go?
You are welcome to come and try the trikes. The cost is $10.00 per session. Please contact trikes@velodrome.nz to arrange a time.
Sessions cannot be booked online and must be made through our Trikes Co-ordinator. Please do not drop in casually for a session without making a booking in advance.
Can we watch the New Zealand team train?
Absolutely! Our National team trains at various times throughout the week. Please visit our track schedule, where the HPSNZ sessions are colored in black.
Please do not take any photos or videos of the training or riders.
