Whether you are brand new to the gym environment, looking to meet new friends or wanting to build strength, stability and move well as you age - we have a range of classes to suit your goals. From our Active Agers classes with Coach Mel to our senior spin with Pamela, there is something for all ages at the Velodrome.

About the Coach - Mel Engelbrecht
Meet Motion Mel- the heart behind our Active Agers community. Mel is an internationally certified gym and Pilates trainer with over 20 years experience and a passion for helping people thrive during this stage of life.
Staying active is about friendship, confidence, and enjoying movement together. Mel understands the unique needs of Active Agers and creates classes that are:

The Benefits of Active Agers
The Active Agers programme is designed to support safe, effective training for those who are 50 years and above. The focus is on feeling stronger, more stable and more confident in everyday movement, while training in a supportive and social environment.

This program, led by the amazing Mel, is designed to support movement, confidence and quality of life at every stage.
Class Types & Times
Sessions run from Monday-Thursday and each session is 60 minutes, tailored for 50+ years.
Bookings are essential as class numbers are capped.

What to bring and wear
Wear supportive sneakers and clothes that are suitable for getting up and down off the floor and moving around in. Bring a drink bottle and a small towel. All equipment supplied.
